Where do you work? I am the Lead Pastor and am one of the founding pastors of Hope Fellowship.
What is your role at Hope Fellowship? My primary responsibilities include preaching and ministry oversight.
Where are you from? I am from New York City. I grew up in The Bronx, which is not the same as Brooklyn! I lived in the inner city of New York for 22 years and then moved to Knoxville in 2010. I married my wife Emily in 2011 and we have three children. Brielle Marianne,Jade Alexandria and Preston Dominique.
Education & Experience? I attended Nyack College in New York, where I received an interdisciplinary studies degree in Business Administration and Bible and Theology. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Leadership.
What is your favorite thing about Hope Fellowship? I have several favorite things about Hope Fellowship, but I will only name two. The first is Hope Fellowship’s commitment to The Bible. Hope Fellowship is a place where I think The Bible comes to life and allows us to further engage with God and ourselves. Hope’s teaching and leadership team work hard to get to the heart of each text we preach. We then shepherd our people and guests well by connecting the dots for them and calling them to go deeper with God personally as a result of the truth being preached from The Bible.
My second favorite thing about Hope Fellowship is Hope’s commitment to doing the hard work of becoming the church God has called us to be. As a multi-ethnic and multi-generational church, we have to think deeply about what we do, how we do it, and how do we not leave anyone out in the process. Hope Fellowship is committed to that work, and that is my favorite part about it. We are committed to doing the work as individuals and corporately to see that what God has called us to do continues to be a reality.
